ZE103WF ESD Wrist Strap and Footwear Tester Set
ESD Wrist Strap and Footwear Tester is designed for fast, frequent testing of ESD wrist straps and Footwear.
It is very simple to operate.
A green light signals the user that everything is OK. A red light and an audible indicator mean that the circuit resistance is either too low or too high.
ESD Wrist Strap is the first lines of defense against electrostatic charge build up on the human body. They are designed to carry away this charge as soon as it is generated.
At the same time the wrist strap or footwear must remain electrically safe for the user. Thus, it is important to test every wrist strap or footwear regularly.
In order to protect sensitive electronic components, the maximum wrist strap resistance should not be more than 10 MΩ and footwear resistance should not be more than 35 MΩ.
On the other hand, the resistance should not be less than 0.75 MΩ as protection to the wearer from dangerous levels of voltage and current flow.
The ESD Wrist Strap and Footwear Tester checks these parameters under actual operating conditions with the strap on the wrist or footwear to the foot.
It clearly indicates whether or not the wrist strap/footwear is safe to use. If you are looking for ESD wrist strap tester only, then ZE102 can be an economical option available with us.

1. Power the instrument for use by opening the back cover to install a 9 V battery.
2. For Checking Wrist Strap:
2.1 Connect the wrist strap cord to the instrument and with the strap on the wrist.
2.2 Change over the switch to wrist strap position and touch the metal sensor on the instrument.
2.3 The instrument will check whether the resistance of the wrist strap falls within the acceptable range (0.75 to 10.0 MΩ).
2.4 This is indicated by the LED lighting up Green.
3. For Checking Footwear / Heel Strap:
3.1 By adding the wall station and foot plate, the operator has ability of measuring ESD safe footwear, heal and toe straps.
3.2 Connect the footplate cord to the instrument into the socket provided and with the footwear to the footplate.
3.3 Change over the switch to footwear range and touch the metal sensor on the instrument.
3.4 The instrument will check whether the resistance of the wrist strap falls within the acceptable range (0.75 to 10.0 MΩ).
3.5 This is indicated by the LED lighting up Green.
Note - Sometimes the floor may not be a good insulator and therefore the footplate should be placed on an insulator sheet such as acrylic or thermocol.
|Apart from routine battery replacement, as and when indicated by low battery indication, this instrument is designed to be completely maintenance free.
There are no user serviceable parts inside. In case of malfunction, calibration refer to the authorized service centre or personnel.
For cleaning the instrument, use a damp cloth, never use any solvent-based cleaners as they may damage the plastic case.
* Warranty is applicable from the date of invoice. Repair warranty only for the instrument. Forward-Reverse transportation cost from our office in Delhi, India will be paid by buyer of the equipment. Warranty voids in case of liquid damage, physical damage and/or if warranty seal is voided off.
