Applicable Replacement Tips
  • The iron will reach soldering temperature in 4 to 5 minutes after being plugged in.
  • Pressing the quick heat button increases the soldering temperature.
  • Use the quick heat button to increase the soldering temperature for heavy
    soldering (e.g., Large Terminals, Connectors).
  • Use at normal soldering temperature for precision soldering (e.g., PCB).
  • To prevent serious burns or fire, use an appropriate soldering iron stand.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Plugging into an outlet other than the rated input voltage may result in overheating and fire.
  • To prevent electric shock, do not use the soldering iron in damp or wet locations or expose it to rain.
  • After use, the tip is still very hot. Allow it to cool down sufficiently before touching the tip or storing the iron. Failure to do so will result in serious burns or fire.
  • To protect against overheating, do not continuously press down on the quick heat button. On initial operation, press the button for 30 seconds. At other times, do not press the button for more than 10 seconds.
  • Use of the quick heat button reduces the electrical insulation factor. Be careful when soldering PCB or sensitive electronic components to protect against leak damage.
  • Before replacing the heater or tip, unplug the soldering iron wait until it cools down.
  • Regularly remove the oxidized particles in the tip by removing the collar and heater barrel when the soldering iron is cool. If you do not, the tip will stick to the heater.
  • When plugged in, do not touch any part of the iron other than the grip. Failure to do so will result in serious burns. Never leave the iron unattended while plugged in.
  • To avoid fire, never use the soldering iron around combustibles or in an explosive environment.
  • Never use the soldering iron if the power cord is damaged as this may result in fire or electric shock.
